The State of Alabama Northern Chancery Division, 27th District Court holden at Moulton To any Sheriff of the State of Alabama Greeting Whereas Owen O. Nelson guardian for John B. Sherrod, Frederick Sherrod, Felix Sherrod and Benjamin Sherrod, minor children of Frederick O. A. Sherrod, dec^d and William P. McMahan guardian for Henry C Sherrod and Walter Sherrod, minor children of Samuel W. Sherrod, dec^d and guardian for Benjamin Sherrod, Francis E. Sherrod and Alice C. Sherrod, de minor children of Felix A.M. Sherrod, dec^d defendants in the cause pending in the Chancery Court for said District in which Samuel W. Shackelford and Charles F. Sherrod, administrators de bonis non with the will annexed of Benjamin Sherrod, dec^d are complainants, and the heirs, legatees and devisees of said Benjamin Sherrod, dec^d et al., are defendants, did on the 24th day of March, 1857, take an appeal from the final decree

rendered in said cause, in vacation on the 21st day of August, 1856, as of the May term of said Chancery Court, 1856, to the next term of the Supreme Court of said State of Alabama, to be holden at the Capitol in the City of Montgomery on the first Monday in June next. We command you that forthwith make the same known to the said Samuel W. Shackleford and Charles F. Sherrod, administrators as aforesaid or their solicitors, Peters & Hodges that they may appear at said time of said Supreme Court to answer any thing that shall be for error assigned. And that you forthwith make return of this writ, and how you shall have executed the same to the Clerk of said Supreme Court. Witness John H.
