1 The State of Alabama} Newry County}

At a circuit court begun and held in and for said county on Monday the 19th day of Oct AD 1868 and the Ninety third Year of the independence of the United States present and presiding the Honl J M Caleb Wiley Judge of the 8th Judicial Circuit Wm E. Bradley Clerk of said Court Jacob M Gamble Sheriff of said County and Jesse A Corbitt Solicitor for said county when the following procedings were had to wit.

We L W Pynes.Whibe Pynes J J Pynes J.B. Everitt James Pynes John T Martin Wm Wood Jno P Britt, Elijah King and Joseph R Smith agree to pay the State of Alabama One Thousand dollars (the sum prescribed by the Honorable H D Clayton Judge of the 8th Judicial Circuit of the State of Alabama) unless the said L.W Pynes appears at the next term of the Circuit Court of Henry County and from term to term thereafter until discharged by Law, to answer a criminal prosecution for the Offence of Murder - Given under our hands and seals this the 7th day of May 1867.} Approved on the 7th day of May 1867} Jacob Bamble Shff B R McGriffith}
