Tuesday JANUARY 3 1911 Frank went hunting. Dick is in the house too much - is well - but very white. He & I went for a long walk - he in his buggy. Jessie the maid, is very fond of him. He calls her [etude?]

Wednesday JANUARY 4

1911 Dick & I went for a walk. Had a shampoo. Frank not home for dinner. Have made plans to go to Arrow Head Hot Springs with Capt. & Symondson in their machine. Will leave Dick at home

Thursday JANUARY 5 1911 Left Los Angeles at 11:30 A.M. & reached Arrowhead at 4.30 P.M. A hard north wind blowing. Left Dick with Jessie. Felt terribly lonely at leaving. Can't stay long at $4.00 per day & $1.50 for [baths?]. Met Mr Seth Marshall in Lobby.

Friday JANUARY 6

Went to San Bernardino & met Mrs Byrnes went to Elks Club & had beer with Mr Walter Byrnes Came home for lunch. Took first mud bath & played bridge with Capt. & Mrs S & Mr Marshall in evening

Saturday JANUARY 7

1911 Got up with a very bad head ache. Went in machine to race back & see Masson arrive in aroplane bringing several hundred [unclear] in machine. We bought a paper. Took another mud bath - dance in evening.

19 Frank & I took a beautiful ride alone - all around Beverly then went to the beach - found the Randolphs had an accident so brought Mrs R & friend home.
