The State of Alabama Shelby County
In Circuit Court At September term 1852
The Grand Jurors for the State of Alabama empannelled, sworn, and charged to inquire for the County of Shelby on their oath present that Isaac a slave, on the first day of August A.D.1852 in the County aforesaid in and upon one Richard H Brasker a white person in the peace of God and said State then & there being wilfully and feloniously did make an assault, And the said Isaac a slave with a certain Knife which he in his right hand then and there had and held, him the said Richard H Brasher a white person did then and there wilfully & feloniously strike cut, and wound with intent him the said Richard H Brasher a white person then and there, and thereby feloniosly., wilfully, and of his malice aforethought to Kill and murder, against the peace and dignity of the State of Alabama Wm S Mudd solicitor for 3rd Judicial Circt. of Alabama
