The State of Alabama Shelby County

Be it remembered that on this the 14th day of March AD 1851 Personally came before me James M Finley Sheriff of Said county Benjamine F Dumas & B F Randall --- who each acknowledge themselves to owe and be Indebted to Henry W Collier Govenor of the State of Alabama and his successor in office in the Sum of three hundred dollars each to be levied of there respective goods and chattles lands & tenaments to be void on condition following The condition of the above obligation is such if the above bound Benjamine F Dumas shal make his personal appearence before his honor the Judge of our next cercuit court to be holden for said county at the court house the of on the second monday in Sept. next to answer the State of Alabama of a charge Pending against him in Said Court for trading with John a slave the Property one Abraham B Goock with out lawful leave and continue from today and from term to term of said court untill discharged by due corse of law then this obligation to be void else the said Benjamine F.
